Less Stress = More Learning

The new school year is well underway! As tests and projects come due, and interim grades are distributed, student stress levels can rise. This week’s FREE tool is a set of breathing exercises designed to help students find the calm but alert state of mind they need to function best in school. The exercises are great for use with your whole classroom at the start of the day or just before that big test. They come from “Cooling Down Your Classroom: Using Yoga, Relaxation and Breathing Strategies to Help Students Learn to Keep Their Cool,” a collection of quick lessons and activities designed to help you improve behavior and enhance achievement through the promotion of self-reflection and calm in your classroom. CEC’s Tool of the Week is a free resource designed to support you in your special education practice. Subscribe and it’ll be automatically delivered to your inbox!  Get your Tool of the Week.
